THE POWER OF BATTERY ELECTRIC
An Easy, Intuitive Experience
Ideal for drivers who love the feeling of a traditional internal combustion engine, Normal Mode delivers responsive pedal acceleration and peak torque for complete, responsive control.
Smooth & In Control
Range Mode offers the One‑Pedal Driving experience, prioritizing energy efficiency by using the Regenerative Braking system to provide stopping power. By simply easing your foot on and off the accelerator pedal, the vehicle will accelerate and decelerate down to a complete stop.
Personalized Efficiency
Sherpa Mode guides your vehicle toward optimized vehicle residual range by delivering smoother responsiveness, which conserves battery power. It also automatically turns off climate control features and other vehicle auxiliary equipment to help manage energy output. (But don’t worry, you can always turn them back on at any time).
HOW CHARGING WORKS
Relaxed Charging, Relaxed Attitude
Keep your FIAT (500e)RED Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)
Using the included Level 1 charging cable (stored in a hidden compartment in the trunk) will charge your vehicle from 40 % to 100 % in approximately nine hours when connected to any standard three‑prong outlet.
For a faster charge, using the available, professionally installed Level 2 at‑home charging station can get you from 40% to 100% in two hours and forty minutes.
Set up a charging schedule using the Uconnect® 5 system, and program the charging periods which work best for you. In some areas, you can benefit from lower energy rates at different times of the day.
Fast-Paced Charging To Match Your Lifestyle
Recharge your FIAT (500e)RED Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)
Charging with a Level 2 cable at commercial charging stations can charge the battery from 40 % to 100 % in two hours and forty minutes. Using the Level 3 DC cable adds up to 50 km of charge in just five minutes.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
BEVs are powered entirely by electricity, relying solely on battery power, which means that a BEV doesn’t have a fuel tank or an exhaust pipe. Instead, it has one or more electric motors powered by a larger onboard battery. Users charge the battery at home, or at public charging stations.
A Hybrid vehicle does not plug in to recharge the battery; instead, it continuously recharges the battery through the use of regenerative braking and the operation of the engine.
In addition to regenerative braking and gas engine charging, a Plug‑In Hybrid (PHEV) battery can be recharged by plugging it in. A PHEV also has a larger battery capacity than a typical Hybrid vehicle, and can therefore drive in zero‑emission electric mode for longer before the combustion engine takes over. This results in lower tailpipe emissions overall than a regular Hybrid vehicle.
New tools for locating charging stations are becoming available every day. You can use this handy charging station locator map, by clicking on the link below:
https://openchargemap.org/site
And don’t forget – you can always use the included Level 1 charger to charge your FIAT® BEV using any standard three‑prong outlet, if a commercial charging station is not available nearby.
The cost to charge an electric vehicle is influenced by a variety of factors including the size and capacity of the vehicle’s battery, the frequency of charging, the local price of electricity, the time of day, and the amount of voltage required. Therefore, different electric vehicles will have different annual charging costs based on your driving habits and your location.
To reduce charging costs, consider recharging your vehicle at night when electricity demand is lower and rates may be reduced, or having a Level 2 charger professionally installed at home to reduce total charging connection time.

The costs of owning an electric vehicle are predictable, and are more or less equivalent to what you would expect from a gas‑powered vehicle. There are also potential savings associated with a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)
The general costs of owning an electrified vehicle are based on:
- charging costs (local electricity rates, home charging station installation)
- maintenance costs (regular scheduled maintenance, repair costs)
- insurance costs
The FIAT® 500e BEV is engineered to work in all kinds of weather conditions. BEV performance depends on many factors, such as the vehicle itself, its potential range in warmer weather, and whether the vehicle’s heat is on. With a little preparation and knowledge, your FIAT 500e BEV will be ready to power through the cold. Here are five super easy tips to help your FIAT go the distance:
- If possible park your FIAT 500e BEV inside a garage to charge, and turn the heat or air conditioning on while the car is charging – this gives you the maximum charge possible
- Keep the vehicle from sitting idle by turning the heat on to warm up before driving
- Combine trips, and don’t use the vehicle more than necessary. High speeds and heavy braking impact total driving range
- Use seat warmers for added body heat. They are a better choice than running high heat through the ventilation system, and will preserve battery life
- Keep tire pressure high for optimal driving, and to preserve battery power
